Hi Omega!
Attached are a couple of pictures of the Omega screw that held a huge fall at Haffner Creek in the Canadian Rockies. Yosuke had just climbed from rock onto a detached pillar and was well above the last screw when a tool suddenly popped out of the brittle ice. He swung hard into the ice below and the whole pillar fractured a foot or two below the screw. Several tons of ice slammed into the ground, but Yosuke was dangling safe in mid-air above all the carnage (I was belaying well to the side, so didn't get hit). The screw bent even with a dynamic belay, but was so solid it had to be chipped out of the ice later.
Even though neither of us want to fall climbing ice in future, we now both have complete faith in the strength of Omega screws! Thanks for your attention to detail and great construction.

Dear Omega Pacific,
I just wanted to pass along my thanks for providing such great products. I use OP carabiners exclusively and for several reasons. They are consistent, strong, light weight, well designed and inexpensive. What more could you want? I should add that I'm now 45 years old and a Senior Engineer at IBM. So I understand excellent engineering and value. I'm grateful you're equipment hasn't killed me despite the several opportunities I've provided it to do so.
I applaud your Inmate Manufacturing Program. My experience with OP products is that they are of the highest quality--fit, function and finish. In addition to providing what in my opinion is the best possible product, you are greatly contributing to society in such a kind, positive and compassionate manner. My hat's off to you!
